I am proud to offer my strong endorsement for Sarah Silkie for Portland City Council. With her impressive background in environmental engineering, deep roots in Portland, and extensive city experience, Sarah is uniquely positioned to address our city's pressing issues. Her platform of fiscal responsibility and her visionary plan to increase housing density downtown will provide much-needed housing options, foster economic growth, and reduce our environmental footprint. Sarah’s passion for serving our community, innovative problem-solving, and steadfast dedication to the environment make her the ideal candidate. I first met Sarah on Zoom during the Covid Lockdown as we explored racial justice together with SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice).

Sarah is fighting for equity in our city. She learns from different viewpoints and brings her engineering experience and innovative thinking to the conversation.

Sarah exemplifies the energy, intelligence, and ability to work with others that we need to solve the problems facing Portland.

I'm excited to endorse Sarah for District 4! Having lived, worked and parented in many of District 4's neighborhoods, she is connected to what the people of this district need at this time of transition. Sarah is someone who can navigate our new City Council structure with smarts and integrity. I especially admire her commitment to work towards dignity and well-being for all of Portland's residents.
